In its 2023 Sustainability Report, Edgewell Personal Care Company disclosed that it has lowered greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 23.5 percent in fiscal 2023 compared to the FY19 baseline. The report outlines the company's advancements in sustainability over the past year as it works towards driving the business forward.

The document details the important steps and advancements made in fulfilling the company's Sustainable Care 2030 pledges throughout its various brands, operations, and supply chain, while also providing support to its employees and communities globally.

The company surpassed its target of reducing energy consumption by 10 percent by 2030 ahead of schedule, achieving an 11.3 percent reduction compared to the FY19 baseline. Edgewell reached its goal of reducing water usage by 5 percent by 2030 ahead of schedule, achieving a 5.2 percent reduction compared to the FY19 baseline.

Rod Little, the CEO of Edgewell Personal Care, expressed his positive perspective on the company's growth strategy and sustainability journey with the release of this year's report. He emphasized that the business has been consistently achieving significant top-line growth, which can be attributed to a stronger portfolio of brands and the progress made in brand building, product innovation, retail execution, and e-commerce activation. Little also highlighted the significance of sustainability in shaping our global future, along with the vibrant culture and talented individuals that comprise the organization.

Edgewell further progressed with product and packaging innovation, with its sun care brand, Banana Boat, introducing a groundbreaking packaging innovation in the sunscreen sector - the Banana Boat 360 Coverage Sunscreen Mist. This new suncare advancement includes a reusable sprayer, along with refill bottles made of 25 percent post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, which can be recycled in facilities where such recycling options are available.
