The German Cooperation Agency (GIZ) announced that a dozen Tunisian exporting companies will participate in a Tunisian-Canadian technical textile networking mission in Montreal and Toronto from April 3-8, 2025. 

Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU) through the GIZ-implemented Qualitative Growth for Employment (CQE) project, this mission facilitates B2B meetings for Tunisian companies at the Canada International Textile & Apparel Expo (April 7-8, 2025).

Bringing together industry experts, economic support institutions, and key technical textile stakeholders, the event aims to foster partnership opportunities bilaterally and through triangular cooperation with partners in North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

A significant step in bolstering Tunisia-Canada cooperation within the high-potential technical textiles sector was marked by a landmark agreement between the Monastir-El Fejja Competitive Cluster (MFCPole), Vestechpro (Apparel Research and Innovation Center), and TechniTextile Québec.

On April 4, 2025, the mission's program features field visits to Canadian technical textile companies, offering Tunisian participants firsthand exposure to Canadian sector expertise and innovations.
